Feed The Hungry UK have been operating since 2010 and are part of a global network.
Their main objective is to feed those who are hungry and empower the local church. Around the world Feed The Hungry regularly feeds 385,000 children and have invested in sustainable agriculture, water resilience and evangelistic campaigns.
Feed The Hungry operates in 10 countries worldwide and has delivered more than £300 million of food and supplies to hungry and hurting people in 92 nations around the globe. In addition they respond with emergency food and relief during disasters such as the Haiti earthquake, Hurricane Sandy and the Syrian crisis.
The Halo Centre is home to the Coventry Foodbank main office and 25,000 sq. foot distribution warehouse. Providing emergency food parcels to 12 foodbanks for local collection across Coventry to individuals and families that are in crisis.
Coventry Foodbank has been operating since 2011 and has one of the largest distribution warehouses within the Trussell Trust Network. Since 2011, the staff and volunteers have packed and given out 200,000 food parcels.
HOPE Coventry enables Coventry churches together to transform the city with the love and power of Jesus Christ. They support projects that connect churches together and help vulnerable people.
They have been successfully running ‘Good Neighbours Coventry’ since 2016, a project that is to provide friendship and social activities for the over 50’s in Coventry. This project has been extremely valuable to those feeling lonely or isolated during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Hope into Action: Coventry works in partnership with churches in Coventry to provide homes and support to help people in our city rebuild their lives. We find investors who seek to share their wealth with the poor, invest it in a property which is partnered with a local church. Hope into Action provides the professional support and the church provides a community of people to befriend and support our tenants. Our vision is for every church to lovingly provide the homeless with a home. The tragedy of homelessness is in every community. We believe that with our help, you and your church can do something about it.
